Jobs!
E-mail us on info@workinghostels.com.au for the most up-to-date news on the work situation.
And don't forget your 1, 2, 3 ........
1. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. When travelling to work areas, please take care when people promise you what you want to hear - "guarantee work", "you will make $150 to $200 per day", "you must come tomorrow or you will miss out"
2. Use the internet. Check for reviews of business, check their websites, ask for references if they do not have a website or online reviews, check FACEBOOK to see if there is a page. Do your homework before you go anywhere - make sure you read point number 1 above.
3. Payment. Some hostels may ask you to pay upfront before you arrive, some hostels may ask you to pay for a week without the option to pay by night. Make sure you read point 2 above before agreeing to this. If the business is asking you to pay 2 weeks in advance before you arrive or before you see the accommodation, be prepared to consider other options. If the business is asking for a secutiry deposit that is above what is normal (most hostels have a deposit between $20 and $50 per person), be prepared to consider other options. In any case read points 1 and 2 above.
Enjoy your time in Austalia and if we can help we will. |
